Abilities are characteristic to a pokemon that cause special effects during battles, be it beneficial or negative. Each pokemon has three abilities to choose and switch off-battle. During battles, abilities cannot be switched.

Abilities can be classified according to the effect they lead to.

Buffs and DebuffsEdit

ImmediateEdit

These abilities would give buffs and debuffs once pokemon enters battlefield.

Ability Effect
Anticipation Raises Evasion.
Compoundeyes Raises Accuracy.
Forewarn Raises Evasion.
Huge Power Raises Attack.
Hustle Raises Attack, lowers Accuracy.
Intimidate Lowers target's Attack.
Moody Raises 1 random stat, lowers 1 random stat.
Speed Boost Raises Speed gradually.
Stench May flinch target.
Super Luck Raises Critical-hit ratio.
Victory Star Raises Accuracy for user and allies.

By weatherEdit

These abilities would give buffs when weather appears. Effects last until the end of battle.

Ability Effect
Chlorophyll Raises Speed under Sunny Day.
Solar Power Raises Special Attack under Sunny Day, but lowers HP.
Sand Rush Raises Speed under Sandstorm.
Sand Veil Raises Evasion under Sandstorm.
Snow Cloak Raises Evasion under Hail.
Swift Swim Raises Speed under Rain Dance.

PassiveEdit

These abilities would give buffs and debuffs under certain conditions.

Ability Effect
Anger Point Maximizes Attack, after taking a criticial hit.
Defiant Raises Attack, after getting a debuff.
Moxie Raises Attack, after killing a target.
Rattled Raises Speed, after being scared.
Unburden Raises Speed, after using the held item.
Weak Armor Raises Speed, lowers Defence, after being hit by Physical attacks.

These abilities would give buffs and debuffs when pokemon suffers from status problems.

Ability Effect
Guts Raises Attack, under status problems.
Marvel Scale Raises Defence, under status problems.
Quick Feet Raises Speed, under status problems.
Steadfast Raises Speed, when pokemon flinches.
Tangled Feet Raises Evasion, when pokemon confuses.

These abilities would give buffs and debuffs once pokemon is hit by certain types of moves.

Lightningrod Raises Special Attack, while nullifying Electric attacks.
Motor Drive Raises Speed, after being hit by Electric moves.
Sap Sipper Raises Attack, after being hit by Grass moves.

These abilities would give buffs depending on allies' abilities.

Ability Effect
Minus Raises Special Attack, if ally is Plus or Minus.
Plus Raises Special Attack, if ally is Plus or Minus.

Ability Effect
Contrary Reverses effects of incoming buffs and debuffs.
Defeatist Lowers stats, if less than 1/2 maximum HP.
Simple Doubles effects of incoming buffs and debuffs.
Unaware Pokemon would not receive buffs and debuffs.

These abilities would removes existing weather on battlefield.

Air Lock Eliminates any weather effects.
Cloud Nine Eliminates any weather effects.

These abilities would summon weather once Pokemon enters battlefield.

Drizzle Summons Rain Dance, when pokemon enters battlefield.
Drought Summons Sunny Day, when pokemon enters battlefield.
Sand Stream Summons Sandstorm, when pokemon enters battlefield.

ProtectionEdit

HP/StatusEdit

These abilities would regenerate little HP on pokemon based on conditions.

Ability Effect
Dry Skin Restores little HP if hit by Water moves. Reduces more HP if hit by Fire moves.
Ice Body Restores little HP under Hail.
Poison Heal Restores little HP when is poisoned.
Rain Dish Restores little HP under Rain Dance.
Regenerator Restores little HP when switching out.
Volt Absorb Restores little HP if hit by Electric moves.
Water Absorb Restores little HP if hit by Water moves.

StatusEdit

These abilities would cure pokemon's or allies' status problems.

Ability Effect
Hydration Removes status problems under Rain Dance.
Healer May remove ally's status problem.
Natural Cure Removes status problems when switching out.
Shed Skin May remove status problem on itself.

Ability Effect
Early Bird Shorten effect of sleep.
Magic Bounce Reflects any incoming moves causing status problems.
Synchronize Passes pokemon's burn, poison, or paralysis to target.

Adaptability Powers up pokemon's moves of same type as itself.
Dark Aura Powers up all allies' Dark moves.
Fairy Aura Powers up all allies' Fairy moves.
Iron Fist Powers up pokemon's punch moves.
Reckless Powers up pokemon's recoil moves.
Rivalry Powers up damage if target is in same gender with pokemon.
Technician Powers up pokemon's weaker moves.
Tinted Lens Powers up moves of reduced effectiveness.

PassiveEdit

These abilities would show effect under certain conditions.

Ability Effect
Analytic Powers up pokemon's moves if it is slower than target.
Flash Fire Powers up Fire moves if pokemon is hit by one.
Sniper Powers up moves if they are critical.
Toxic Boost Powers up moves if pokemon is poisoned.

EmergencyEdit

These abilities would show effect only below 1/2 maximum HP.

Ability Effect
Blaze Powers up Fire moves when less than 1/2 maximum HP.
Overgrow Powers up Grass moves when less than 1/2 maximum HP.
Swarm Powers up Bug moves when less than 1/2 maximum HP.
Torrent Powers up Water moves when less than 1/2 maximum HP.

Sand Force Powers up Rock, Ground, Steel moves under Sandstorm.
Sheer Force Powers up moves, but added effects are removed.

These abilities would give damages to target without attack moves.

Ability Effect
Aftermath Damages targets kiling the pokemon.
Liquid Ooze Damages targets when draining pokemon's HP.

ContactEdit

These abilities may show effect when target uses Physical moves on pokemon.

Ability Effect
Cute Charm May cause infatuation if target uses Physical moves.
Effect Spore May cause poison/ paralysis/ sleep if target uses Physical moves.
Flame Body May cause burn if target uses Physical moves.
Iron Barbs Damages targets if they use Physical moves.
Mummy May turns target's ability into "Mummy" if it uses Physical moves.
Poison Point May cause poison if target uses Physical moves.
Poison Touch May cause poison if target uses Physical moves.
Static May cause paralysis if target uses Physical moves.

Arena Trap Prevents target from switching out.
Magnet Pull Prevents target from switching out.
Run Away Prevents pokemon from turning around.
Shadow Tag Prevents target from switching out.

TranformationEdit

Ability Effect
Illusion Disguised as last ally until pokemon is damaged.
Impostor
Zen Mode Transforms into another form when less than 1/2 maximum HP.

Partial protectionEdit

Ability Effect
Filter Reduces damage of incoming supereffective attacks.
Friend Guard Reduces damages on allies.
Magic Guard Protects pokemon from damages other than move attacks.
Multiscale Reduces damage of incoming attacks.
Solid Rock Reduces damage of incoming supereffective attacks.
Sturdy Pokemon would not be killed by 1 hit.
Thick Fat Reduces damage of Fire and Ice moves.
Wonder Guard Only supereffective moves will hit.
Wonder Skin Reduces chance of incoming status-changing moves.

ItemsEdit

Ability Effect
Frisk Can see all target's held items.
Honey Gather Pokemon would gather Honey.
Pickup Pokemon would pickup used items in battle.

BerriesEdit

Ability Effect
Gluttony Consumes berry early.
Harvest May creater another berry if one has been used.
Unnerve Target cannot consume berries.

WeightEdit

Ability Effect
Heavy Metal Doubles pokemon's weight.
Light Metal Halves pokemon's weight.

CooldownEdit

Ability Effect
Prankster Reduces pokemon's cooldowns of status-changing moves.
Pressure Raises target's cooldowns.

UnclassifiedEdit

Ability Effect
Cursed Body
Damp Disables Selfdestruct and Explosion.
Download Adjusts move power based on target's Defence when attacked.
Illuminate Spawns more pokemons in the wild.
Infiltrator Ignores effect of Reflect, Light Screen.
Klutz Pokemon cannot hold items.
Mold Breaker Moves can be used regardless ot Abilities.
No guard Allows only attacks by and against pokemon.
Scrappy Allows Normal and Fighting moves hit Ghost pokemons.
Serene Grace Raises chance of added effects.
Skill Link Raises frequency of multi-strike moves.
Sticky Hold Disables item theft.
Telepathy Pokemon may evade from target's attack.
Trace Pokemon copies target's ability.
Truant Pokemon cannot attack on consecutive turns.
